Additional Services

An Extended Day program is available for students in Transition through sixth grade. Students enjoy daily activities that include supervised homework time, free play, an afternoon snack, and other organized enrichment activities. The program operates from 2:35 pm - 5:30 pm. Late bus service is available for Extended Day students and more details can be found on our Transportation page.

 

The Perry Academic Center offers a wide variety of services to students at all grade levels. Tutors work with students to help them develop stronger study skills and master a challenging subject. Tutors coordinate with classroom teachers and parents to provide individualized help. Many students are able to use time during the school day to access Academic Center services. 

Through one-on-one and small group tutorial sessions, Academic Center tutors guide each student to develop a fuller understanding of classroom concepts and provide more intensive practice to master skills. Our tutors are trained to build on classroom instruction and individual support offered by APA teachers, and they work closely with both parents and teachers to assess strengths and weaknesses in each student's learning style.

This supplemental individualized support for your student is both affordable and convenient. We offer both skill building and enrichment in specific subject areas, SAT and ACT test preparation, study skills, and organizational strategies for successful learning, homework help, and intensive exam review.

FACTS is the web-based interface to Arendell Parrott Academy's student information system. Once your student is enrolled you are given access to FACTS which allows daily access to your student's grades, homework assignments, academic progress reports, school announcements, the school calendar, and family financial information. Students in grades 6 through 12 are also given access to FACTS so that they can keep up with homework, track their grades, and access important web assignments and links for individual classes. Information can be easily accessed via browser on your computer or phone as well as an App for your iOS or Android device.

Opportunities for enrichment abound during the summer months at Parrott Academy. Offerings vary from year to year. A variety of academic camps offering science, English, and math enrichment are available. Athletic camps are offered to introduce students to team sports available at the Academy. Special interest camps for sewing, theatre, and visual arts have been offered in the past. Look for registration information in the spring. Sessions are available in early and late summer months.

A tuition refund plan is available for purchase. Extraordinary circumstances may arise like job loss, family changes, or relocation. If such a circumstance should arise, the plan would pay benefits to the school helping you to meet your financial contractual obligation to the school. Transportation to and from school is available for students from Greenville, Ayden, Cove City, New Bern, Goldsboro, Walnut Creek, Richlands and Jacksonville. A late bus service is offered for students from Goldsboro, Greenville, Jacksonville, and New Bern participating in after school activities or the Extended Day Program.
