Student SERV Induction eligibility is determined each year, according to the following guidelines:
SERV Basic Requirements:
Student must volunteer a minimum of 12 hours to be inducted into SERV each spring. A maximum of 25% of a student's total SERV hours can be awarded for volunteering for APA each year.
2025 SERV hours must have been completed January 1 - December 31, 2025.
Documentation of these 2025 hours must be logged by student on APA’s Track It Forward website and are due January 9, 2026.
The SERV Induction is held in March each school year.
SERV Additional Recognitions:
Students who earn 100+ SERV hours will be inducted as Patriot Service Scholars and will be recognized at the SERV Induction and will receive certificates and pins at the Underclass Awards Program and Senior Banquet in May.
Students who earn the NCAIS Service Learning Award will be recognized at the SERV Induction and will receive certificates at the Underclass Awards Program and Senior Banquet in May. Hour requirements are: Bronze 100-174 SERV hours; Silver 175-249 SERV Hours; Gold 250+ SERV Hours
Seniors may wear their Presidential pins and Patriot pins to graduation.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:Community service projects in a local school, historic Quito landmarks and cultural exploration, Otavalo artisan market and La Mitad del Mundo, learn from and serve with local families in an indigenous community in the Andes mountains
WHO CAN APPLY: Students who will be in grades 9-12 in the 2025-26 school year
