| Dear Parents, Fulfilling your child’s academic potential is the heart of the Academy’s mission. Over the years, we have initiated a variety of programs to meet students’ needs and challenge every student to grow. One of the most successful of these programs is our Academic Center which has grown into a facility that encourages, challenges, and supports student achievement. Through one-one-one and small group tutorial sessions, Academic Center tutors guide each student to develop a fuller understanding of classroom concepts and provide more intensive practice to master skills. Our tutors are trained to build on classroom instruction and individual support offered by APA teachers, and they work closely with both parents and teachers to assess strengths and weaknesses in each student’s learning style. This supplemental individualized support for your student is both affordable and convenient. Students in grades T-5 can receive services during their activity time or after school. Students in grades 6-12 can be scheduled for tutorial instruction during an activity period, lunch, or after school. We offer both skill building and enrichment in specific subject areas, SAT and ACT test preparation, study skills and organizational strategies for successful learning, homework help, and intensive exam review.
